Staff Favorite Family Ski Resorts

Well, the votes have been tallied. The staff at XSPKids has weighed in and declared their favorite family ski resorts. Wouldn't you know, not one of us chose the same resort! Here are some of our personal favorites, and why:

West Coast:

  • Park City, Utah -  "I love the fact that you can (literally!) ski right into the downtown area. The town is a ton of fun with lots of great restaurants."
  • Steamboat Springs, Colorado -  "Great perks like, if adults rent skis for 5 days then kids ski rental is free. Also, there's a lot to do in the surrounding area if you are with extended family who are not skiers - hot springs etc.  And, if I remember correctly, they had a gondola so that the non-skiers could come up on the slopes and join us for lunch."
  • Breckenridge, Colorado -  "Big resort, nice weather, kid friendly town with lots to do. Great pizza at "Downstairs at Eric's".
  • Squaw Valley, California - "Lots of trails of varying levels; great indoor/outdoor pool; gorgeous scenery."

East Coast:

  • Smugglers' Notch, Vermont -  "Lots of easy ski in/ski out accommodations, plenty to do in the ski village for kids and teens."
  • Mount Tremblant, Canada - "Easy access from major airport so it was an easy weekend trip. Loved the mountain - great skiing for all levels and very fun resort town at the base of the mountain."

How about you? What is your favorite family ski resort? Post a comment and let us know!
